Storing Your Caladium Bulbs Before Planting

At Caladium Bulbs 4 Less, we want to make sure your bulbs are in the best possible shape when it’s time to plant. If you're not ready to get them in the ground right away, proper storage is key. Keep your caladium bulbs in a dry, warm place—ideally between 65-75°F. A pantry, garage shelf, or even a closet works great as long as it's not damp or too cold. Avoid refrigerating them, as cold temperatures can cause damage and prevent them from sprouting later.

Air circulation is important too, so skip the plastic bags and store your bulbs in a breathable container like a paper bag, mesh sack, or even an open box with some dry peat moss. If you notice any moisture collecting, let the bulbs air out for a bit before tucking them away again. As long as they stay warm and dry, they’ll be ready to burst to life when planting time rolls around!
