The map below provides our best estimate for when it’s safe to start shipping Caladium plants to each region. We are not suggesting this as a planting schedule. For the healthiest growth, we suggest waiting until the nighttime temperature remains steadily above 65°F before planting. If you choose to have us ship your Caladium earlier than our suggested timeframe, we won’t be able to offer refunds or replacements for any reason.
We proudly ship all orders via the United States Postal Service (USPS) and may use other shippers at our discretion. If you would like to receive your order on or by a specific date, please contact us prior to placing your order. If it looks like spring is arriving sooner than expected, we're happy to ship your order early—just give us a call or send an email to request it. However, we don’t adjust shipping dates based on a brief warm spell, as we can’t accurately predict the weather in your specific location.
At Caladium Bulbs 4 Less, we want to make sure you get the best results from your caladiums! You can plant them anytime from spring through summer, but they need warm temperatures to sprout. That’s why we start shipping in February and typically sell out by August. If you're in a northern state, we’ll hold off on shipping until the weather is warm enough to give your bulbs the best start.
Need your bulbs sooner? No problem! If you have a temperature-controlled space like a greenhouse, just let us know when you'd like them shipped, and we’ll get them out to you. Just keep in mind that we can’t be responsible for any frost damage during transit, and we’re unable to offer refunds or replacements on early shipments. Happy planting!
